Welsh Learners’ Warm-Up Session – Parti Priodas (Thursday 27 August Only)

Coming to Parti Priodas on Thursday 27 August and learning Welsh? Then this is for you!

Join us at 6:00pm before the performance for a fun, relaxed session designed especially for Welsh learners. Whether you’re just starting out or have been learning for a while, we’ll help you get even more from the show.

Together we’ll:

•  Learn some of the slang and everyday expressions you’ll hear during the performance.
•  Discover a little about the characters and the story.
•  Meet other Welsh learners before the show.
•  Learn how to use the Sibrwd app, so you can follow along whenever you need a little extra help.

What is Sibrwd?

Sibrwd is a brilliant language support app that helps make Welsh-language theatre accessible to everyone. During the performance, it provides English translation through your headphones and on your phone, so you can enjoy the show while continuing to listen to the Welsh being spoken on stage. It’s a fantastic way to build your confidence while experiencing live Welsh theatre.
Before you come

✅ Download the Sibrwd app before you arrive from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
✅ Bring:

• Your smartphone
• A pair of headphones or earphones

We’ll show you everything else when you arrive, so don’t worry if you’ve never used the app before!

If you have any questions after the performance – whether it’s about the Welsh you heard, the slang, or anything else from the show – some of our team will be around for around 20 minutes after the performance and would be delighted to answer any questions.
