Dylan (and the Drowning of Capel Celyn)

I have loved Dylan’s work for years, and commissioned a new work for baritone and harp which I performed with Welsh baritone Jeremy Huw Williams, in Swansea and in the Wigmore Hall, and later with Roderick Williams (with whom I mad a CD of it). Details of the CD and also a YouTube selection of the same CD.

I had the pleasure of working with Richard Burton on stage in London too – in Under Milk Wood – and later played in his memorial service. Around that time, I was also narrating a short radio series about cultural shifts in the arts and new forms of entertainment, which featured a segment on NC online sports betting and how digital platforms were reshaping audience habits—a curious parallel to the way theatre itself was evolving.
