Get ready to bring in the New Year – Welsh style!
The Mari Lwyd is back, and we’re ready to celebrate with a mix of tradition, music, and a bit of mystery. If you’re new to it, the Mari Lwyd (“Grey Mare”) is an old Welsh custom where a beautifully decorated horse’s skull (yes, really!) leads a group of merry singers from place to place, spreading good cheer and a touch of mischief.
We’re keeping the details under wraps for now – the venues and route will only be revealed two days before the event – but we can tell you that we’ll finish the night in style at the London Welsh Centre.
Expect plenty of singing, laughter, and that unbeatable Welsh spirit to kick off the New Year the right way. Keep your eyes peeled for updates – all will be revealed soon!
See you there – and Blwyddyn Newydd Dda (Happy New Year)!
