Purple Strings Open Mic Nights are open to any performers in London, not only Welsh performers!

We are open to any style of work be that poetry, spoken word or singing, etc. The use of Welsh language and bilingual work is at the heart of our work and our open mic nights are an opportunity for Welsh learners, fluent Welsh speakers, Welsh-Londoners and anyone who is or isn’t connected to Wales to take part. It’s always a fun and eclectic mix of talent! If you’ve written anything and want to test it out, here’s an opportunity to do so!

This is a fundraising event for our show ‘The Welsh Lxdies’. Although we now have ACW funding for our R&D we still have to fundraise part of the project.

There will be a raffle and we will accept both cash and card at the event.
